Lauren

My love for fitness has been with me my whole life. I am athletic and have always been into fitness and staying healthy.I played college basketball and softball. I started karate when I was 3 years old until high school with a brown belt. For fun I like doing Spartan Races and have completed my trifectia numerous times. I started taking boxing classes at the gym and wanted to learn more and I became interested in the sport. After I became a trainer at Title I then got my ISSA CERTIFICATION in personal training. I am going to Queens College for my Bachelor degree in Physical Education and looking forward to my future.

My personal mantra:

My training style is:
Energetic and fun

My why:
I started as a member at Title and then got interested in learning how to box and got addicted to teaching. I then got certified in personal training and continuing to work on my technique. I also work with a WBC champion named Heather Hardy. She helped me become a better teacher and understanding the basics of boxing . She is my role model and a great boxing instructor.

Briana

Briana is the newest member of the Title team! Briana is extremely excited to begin teaching classes and getting to know the members of the Club! She has been a certified Spin Instructor since June of 2019 and began boxing 2 years ago. She is a senior at Pace University and will be graduating in May of 2021. She will ensure that whoever walks through our doors will be greeted with a smile and an effective and fun workout! Briana is looking forward to beginning this new chapter with all of you!

My personal mantra:
You’re always stronger than you think.

My training style is:
Fun and Connected

My why:
I’ve seen what Title Boxing Club has done for others and I truly believe it will transform not only your body, but your mind as well.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
My family gives me my fighting spirit by pushing me to be the best version of myself.

Tami

Tami is a mother of 3 children who discovered the positive effect exercise can have on your well being. In 2012, she started spinning, lifting weights, and eating healthy. Eventually, she lost  50lbs.  In 2015, she added boxing, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jujitsu to her workout regimen. She fell in love with the discipline of boxing and Martial Arts.  Growing up with two brothers, Tami felt comfortable in these male dominated sports.  However, she saw few women in the Muay Thai and Jujitsu gyms where she trained. Tami would like to see more women in boxing and Martial Arts.

Tami’s love of fitness inspired her to become a NASM certified personal trainer in 2017.

Tami is  a fan of the cognitive effects a boxing workout can have on your brain. Boxing is both a mental and physical workout. Remembering combinations and reacting to your opponent or trainer is a workout for your mind as well.

Tami is super excited to join the Title team and encourages everyone but especially women of any age or fitness level to try boxing and kickboxing.

"Get out of your comfort zone!"

My training style is:
Authentic and Transforming

My why:
I love seeing our members make progress.

Knowing that overcoming obstacles unlocks your true potential.

Nik

Nik has been an athlete his whole life. Starting soccer at a young age allowed him to mold into a goalie where he really found his niche. Being a goalie took a lot of hand eye coordination and has carried that into boxing. He has years of weight training experience and lives a healthy active lifestyle where he strives to be the best he can be. With a degree in communication, a passion for teaching and an urge to help others, he tries to make each class as doable and challenging as possible.

My personal mantra:
Do it for yourself

My training style is:
Energetic

My why:
To spread positivity and motivate others to push themselves harder each day

What gives me my fighting spirit:
My desire for happiness gives me my fighting spirit. Life tends to knock you down, it's up to you to stand up taller each time.

Nisa

Nisa Rodriguez is a 8x daily news Golden Glove champion, 6x Metropolitan champion and a 2018 Central American and Caribbean games gold medalist! She has been a vital part to the team here at TITLE Boxing Club Ardsley and has the skillset to coach and train our members to be the best they can be. Not only are her accomplishments enough to speak on her skillset, but her mentality and ability to bond with our members takes her coaching to the next level. She has trained to be one of the best boxers/fighters in the state of New York and continues to push herself to hit new goals! Nisa was also a 2x Empire State Games gold medalist, a 3x Pure Breed champion, a Long Island champion, Us Continental silver medalist, 2018 women’s International Bulgarian silver medalists and a Puerto Rico Olympic team member. We are glad to have her as part of our TITLE Family!

It you’re tired of starting over, STOP giving up. If it was easy everyone one would do it.

My training style is:
Energetic and Connected

My why:
Growing up Nisa didn’t have the most supportive community. She want to be the role model of motivation others need.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
You can play basketball/ baseball /etc. but when you DO Boxing , it’s all you! You have to put the work so it gets done.

Kyle

Kyle has always led a very active life. She spent years dancing, swimming and competing in Obstacle Course Races. She has a few marathons under her belt, and loves a physical and mental challenge. Kyle started working in the fitness industry in 2016 and in addition to her love for kickboxing. She also has a background in strength training.

My personal mantra:
Push beyond what you think is impossible and make it possible.

My training style is:
Energetic and Fun

My why:
Boxing is an incredible workout and Kyle loves the creating new and challenging combos and floor exercises.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
Kyle's fighting spirit comes from her competitive self. Her biggest competitor is herself and she always strives to push herself beyond her limits.

FAQ's

I’ve heard the classes are intense; do I need to be in great shape to do the workouts?

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t worked out in a while or have never boxed before, you can finish the workout feeling great! You’ll see that everyone goes at their own pace, but believe us that once you’re here, you’ll be inspired to give it your very best!

I don’t want to get hit; is this a contact workout?

No—not ever! Each person in class has their own heavy bag to workout on, plus their own space to move around the bag. Trust us, you won’t even realize anyone else is in the class because you’ll be so focused on the workout! And, rest easy, we never allow sparring or fighting at TITLE Boxing Club.

What makes TITLE different than other fitness studios?

Boxing is a great workout, perhaps one of the most challenging of all sports, and we want to bring you the intensity of the training, minus the impact. We’ll teach you how to roll with the punches by pushing you further than you thought possible.

I’m new to boxing; will someone show me the basics?

You bet! All of our classes are taught by instructors who will show you the ropes from the beginning. We’ll help you wrap your hands and walk you through the basic fundamentals. Everyone in class is at a different level, so take a deep breath and go at your own pace!

What do I need to bring to class? How early do I need to arrive?

Hand wraps are essential for your protection and mandatory for class. You can bring your own or buy them here. We’ll have gloves for you to borrow your first time, and you might want to bring a bottle of water and towel! Plan on arriving 20 minutes early so we can get you settled and wrap your hands.

I’ve never hit anything before. Will I hurt myself?

For a beginner, the most important thing is to learn the proper form. The good news is that we’ll teach you! As you progress, you’ll be able to throw several variations of punches from different positions and develop your own punching technique to fit your style. People are usually surprised at how much they love hitting the heavy bag!

Can I try a class before joining?

Of course you can take classes before purchasing a membership. We have drop-in rates for single classes, three or six classes. These are great for people who travel often or want to try us out. You can choose our best value option and commit to a membership any time.
