Trainer/Staff Bio
Since the age of 3, Emily has been athletic and enjoyed playing competitive sports such as softball, which she still plays today. At age 4 she began participating in gymnastics and dance. Emily believes her true passion lies in dance. She enjoys anything involving being active and outdoors from skating to hiking and everything in between. She started boxing in 2015 and realized you can knock something out while moving your body in a rhythm so she fell in love with what feels like dance and softball intertwined. She earned her certification as a boxing trainer in 2018 with Box N Burn Academy. After working as a dental assistant for 8 years, she quit her job to open a boxing studio in her hometown and train full time.
My personal mantra
This too shall pass.
My training style is:
transformative
My why:
I became a trainer at TITLE Boxing Club to immerse myself in a community/family of people who understand the science behind boxing and what it can do for one’s physical and mental health.
What gives me my fighting spirit:
My fighting spirit really ignited when my father and 2-yr old brother passed away during an 18-wheeler accident in 1996. I watched my mother suffer this loss and struggle with addiction and depression over the course of my childhood. And when I was 19 years old, I lost my mother to murder. My daughter was an infant and I battled once again to remain resilient.

Trainer/Staff Bio
Ray currently attends the University of Notre Dame and boxes through Bengal Bouts (Men’s Boxing Club).
My personal mantra
Save not for tomorrow what you can do today
My training style is:
authentic
My why:
I wanted to get experience as a coach so that I could become a captain of the men’s boxing club.
What gives me my fighting spirit:
My dreams and aspirations

Trainer/Staff Bio
Gerard has been a sports enthusiast his entire life. From football, basketball, and baseball, to wrestling, track and field, and even dance. Fitness has always been a part of his life. While living in Arizona, he was introduced to boxing and began training at Pounds Gym. Since then he has had an ever-growing passion for it and shares that passion with whoever he can.
My personal mantra
Each time you choose to try, you choose to grow
My training style is:
energetic
My why:
Pursuing boxing has helped me physically, mentally and emotionally. It’s challenged me to grow and proved that my capacity can grow so much further than I knew. Being able to experience that is absolutely incredible and I want to help others have the same experience.
What gives me my fighting spirit:
Life has a way of throwing things at you that can keep you feeling stuck or even defeated. We can all name those experiences, I definitely can. As I have experienced these things and watched others do the same, those who overcome are willing to do so by not giving up and doing what it takes to grow. So I choose to do the same. It’s not always easy, but each time you choose to try, you choose to grow!

Trainer/Staff Bio

My personal mantra
We’re either winning or learning today. You only lose if you don’t try or quit
My training style is:
energetic
My why:
I enjoy helping people reach their person fitness goals and challenging others to reach limits that they didn’t believe they could attain.
What gives me my fighting spirit:
A constant desire to have fun while trying to be a better man than I was yesterday in all aspects - mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally.

Trainer/Staff Bio
“Truthfully, I was not very athletic growing up. It wasn’t until my mid-20s that I really became interested in fitness training. I was one of those people who had to do a program at home for a month before going to the gym so I could be “in shape” for my first gym class. Fast forward 4 years and I’ve gone from a class participant to being certified in several different areas such as Spin, Pilates, Group Ex, and several Les Mills Programs.”
Casey has been an LPN since 2011 and is now enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University to obtain her BSN. Casey has worked in several areas of healthcare over the last 10 years and is currently employed at an outpatient cardiac cath lab.
“Walking into a gym is more than just a workout. It’s a mental and physical challenge.” Casey loves pushing the limits to see what she is capable of and loves learning and continuing her education. Health and wellness have always been a passion of hers, especially with her nursing background. She is beyond excited that she has been able to add fitness and nutrition into the mix.
My personal mantra
Do it scared.
My training style is:
authentic
My why:
I find boxing very intriguing and totally out of my comfort zone. I like to do things that challenge me, because we grow when we are challenged. My goal is to motivate and inspire members to challenge themselves in and outside of the club!
What gives me my fighting spirit:
Doing the unexpected and proving to myself I can do hard things.

Trainer/Staff Bio

My personal mantra
The only easy day was yesterday.
My training style is:
fun
My why:
I became a trainer at TITLE because I fell in love with the atmosphere. I also want to help others find their passion for fitness and boxing!
What gives me my fighting spirit:
Being the youngest of 5 boys raised by a single mother, I’ve always had a resilient attitude. Being a person of color in today’s world isn’t a walk in the park. But as long as I have my family and friends by my side, I can persevere through anything. Taking life one day at a time and hitting back with a quick Jab, Cross!

Trainer/Staff Bio

My personal mantra
"Do something today that your future self will thank you for!"
My why:
Growing up with exercise induced asthma held me back from every sport. When I was introduced to fitness, I found a way to challenge myself physically, mentally and emotionally finally feeling in control of my body and power in my strength. I want everyone to feel that.
What gives me my fighting spirit:
My dreams won’t grow unless I do. I want to prove not only myself, but to everyone who takes my class, that you are capable of whatever you put your mind to. That you're stronger than you think and you're worth whatever goals you have set - whether it be in the club, at work or at home. You are meant for more. When life throws you a punch, you’ll know how to punch back!
FAQ’s
Our workouts are for all ages, all abilities and all fitness levels. Every participant in class is encouraged to go at their own pace. If you need to stop, catch your breath, stretch or get a drink of water, it’s no big deal – everyone does it! Hop back in when you’re ready and we’ll be there right next to you cheering you on!
We have gloves to borrow for your first time and you can purchase hand wraps here or bring your own. Hand wraps are required to use during class to protect your hands and wrists. We have water fountains in our clubs, and we encourage you to bring a water bottle and to drink plenty of water during and after class. The most important thing to bring with you is the attitude and belief that you can do anything you set your mind to.
We ask that you show up at least 30 minutes before your first class. We will give you a quick tour, so you know where everything is, show you to your locker and help you pick out your bag and first-time loaner gloves. You’ll select a pair of hand wraps (you can bring your own or purchase them here) and we’ll walk you through the basics of class as we wrap your hands. We don’t expect you to know how to wrap your hands for both comfort and safety, so we can help you on your first time or every time. Finally, before class starts, we’ll set you up with our trainer to show you how to throw the four basic punches that will be used throughout class. Best of all, if you ever get lost just go back to the basic jab, cross combination and a trainer will come by to show you any other technique.
Our classes are a total-body workout inspired by the sport of boxing. People of all ages, all abilities and all fitness levels are side by side in class with you—think young professionals, moms and dads, fitness first-timers, handicapped individuals, people trying to lose weight, gain muscle, get better and go at their own pace. Once the bell rings and class begins, all of your fears reside and the class experience truly becomes only about you and the heavy bag.

The club leadership of TITLE Boxing Club Baton Rouge focuses on offering the best workout in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, day in and day out. We love our members and the community they’re helping us build, and we’re here to make TITLE better for them each and every day. Our goal is to provide a place where people of all ages, all bodies, all weights, all abilities can experience the most empowering, exhilarating, and addictive workout of their life while enjoying a supportive, encouraging community. Owner Lance LaMotte says, “We want to be the best hour of your day.” From the moment class begins, we help you challenge yourself to hit the bag and fight through your personal challenges. We encourage this by providing you with a full-body workout that incorporates the fundamentals of a true boxer’s workout to strengthen and tone your arms, legs, back, and core. Each workout begins with the warm ups – a HIIT workout that combines trainer-led boxing with cardio drills and stretches. This gets your heart pumping and your mind ready for the next phase of your boxing class – the rounds. During the rounds, your trainer will lead you through a series of jab, hook, and cross combinations where you’ll lay it all on the heavy bag for three minutes; then, you’ll rest for a minute before jumping into the next round. Once you’ve finished the rounds, our TITLE trainers will lead you through an ab workout where you’ll use weighted medicine balls to define your core. The trainers even go a step further to offer one on one private training sessions. During these sessions, our experienced trainers will not intimidate, but inspire you to become the champion of your life. They will push you to your limits by challenging you to fight through mental roadblocks and push you through the fatigue that you face.
