Have you ever sat in a store dressing room and cried, because nothing you liked fit? How about more than once? That’s where I was just before joining TITLE Boxing Club. I became very skillful at avoiding cameras, which is why don’t have an official “before” picture to share. I never had any difficulty controlling my weight until around time I turned 30. My metabolism took a nosedive and with that, the weight piled on. I had zero energy and got used to feeling lethargic all the time. My blood pressure was slightly elevated and due to heredity, I had hypercholesterolemia. Even though my doctors told me to exercise, I was never consistent. I had a pattern of working out religiously for 3 months at a time and then stopping for whatever stupid reason I came up with.
I joined TITLE Boxing Club in September 2014, and was beyond nervous my first day. Even though my first power hour was a complete train wreck (I almost passed out and had to focus on not dying), I signed up that day. I’m 34 years old now and in the best shape I’ve been since I was a teenager. I’ve lost almost 30 pounds since joining and have kept it off. I no longer have elevated blood pressure and for the first time since my original diagnosis, my cholesterol levels are normal.
I workout at TITLE 5-6 days per week and have started Tae Kwon Do 3 days per week. The trainers at TITLE have pushed me to do things that I never thought I could do. Watching other members improve and achieve their fitness goals motivates me every day. The support system at TITLE is so strong, that I can’t imagine not going…they even ask me where I have been when I miss a few days to keep me on my toes! My fitness goals are always changing and I’m always looking for ways to push myself. There’s always something new to learn and the trainers always have ways to make you hit harder!
