Boxing for Mental Health

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. This is a cause that is aligned at the most fundamental level with what TITLE Boxing Club stands for. TITLE Boxing Club’s mission is to increase fitness and decrease stress. At TITLE Boxing Club Chicago West Loop, we are able to help our members accomplish both because boxing fitness is not only an intense full body workout, but also the nature of the workout provides a unique form of mental focus and clarity.

While our classes are not intended to replace other forms of therapy or medical treatment, boxing can aid in combatting the symptoms of mental health conditions.

Many of our members come to, and stick with, boxing fitness for these benefits. In fact, this exactly how our Chief Revenue Officer and BoxUnion Co-Founder, Felicia Alexander, began boxing.

Watch Felicia tell her inspiring story:

All month, TITLE Boxing Club and TITLE On Demand are celebrating mental health victories, raising awareness, and donating to Bring Change to Mind, a nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging dialogue and ending the stigma around mental illness.

We feel hopeful that we are getting closer to a world where there is no stigma around mental illness.

At TITLE Boxing Club we strive to be a community that embrace people from all walks of life, dealing with all sorts of issues, and creating a community where everybody can come as they are, be accepted, bring all their problems in, and leave them on the bag. -Felicia Alexander
