Nancy

Nancy was very active growing up and always involved in school sports. As an adult, she joined many types of boutique gyms but none that she stayed longer than 9 months. In 2016, Nancy came to try her first Boxing class and was hooked. After 1 month, she  started working with a Pro boxing coach Anthony who helped fine tune her punches and learn  more about the sport. In 2018, Nancy became a Title trainer and started teaching 3-4 classes a week. In May 2019, Nancy walked away from the corporate world as a pharmacist of 10 years and along side her husband Nick became owners of Title Boxing Club Danvers.

My personal mantra:
Dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them

My training style is:
Energetic

My why:
My family and my health

What gives me my fighting spirit:
Always wanting to do more and pushing myself outside of my comfort level

Melissa G

Melissa has no sports or fitness background from her “youth.” She didn’t get into MMA until her early 30’s when she took her first kickboxing class at TITLE (with Andrew Nagle). Andrew was kind enough to take her under his wing, and she progressed into the trainer that she is today. That being said, boxing for fitness gave her the confidence to branch out into Brazilian Jiujitsu and gain her blue belt. Melissa believes that it’s never too late to try something new, challenge yourself, and flourish into a better human being.

My personal mantra:
"No worries!"

My training style is:
Energetic

My why:
My children. I have to show my girls that they can absolutely have it all - the family, the career, the social life, and a good heart to round it all out.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
You will never walk away from anything you love, wishing that you had worked less. Give everything your all for the ultimate gratification.

×

Brian

Brian didn’t always live a healthy lifestyle. In 2011 his father got sick, and he knew he had to change what he was doing…then Brian found TITLE! He started taking classes, setting goals for himself, and noticing a huge difference in his energy and fitness. He was addicted. He knew he wanted to be part of the team. Brian started training with the best, learning the craft, and fine-tuning his skills. He couldn’t wait to get to the club, say hi, and get to work. The TITLE community is the best fitness community out there – no doubt. In 2014, he became a trainer and started teaching classes. Four years later, he still loves it.

My personal mantra:
"It's not supposed to be easy."

My training style is:
Fun

My why:
I love helping people build confidence and seeing them work towards their goals. I love keeping people motivated and helping them have at least one awesome part of their day.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
I get my fighting spirit from knowing that nothing comes easy and knowing that you get what you put into it - at TITLE and in life.

Anthony

Anthony is from Killeen, TX. He began boxing at the age of 4 with his father as his first coach. Eventually, he won the Golden Gloves 3 years in a row and the state championship once. He turned pro in 2000. Being dedicated to military service, Anthony chose the military over boxing. He served 15 years active duty in the US Army and the US Marines. From 2006 to 2011, he was the Camp Pendleton Marine Boxing Coach. In 2007, he began coaching MMA fighters as well, including Keith “KO Kid” Berry (King of the Cage Middleweight Champ), Thierry Sokoudjou (UFC, Bellator, Pride, Strikeforce), Paul Buentello (UFC), and Tiffany Van Soest (WBC Muay Thai Champion). During this time, Anthony also became certified in strength and conditioning along with exercise rehabilitation. He enjoys being able to help everyone. It’s a blessing to do something you love and be good at it.

My personal mantra:
"In the end everything will work its way out." - Mama

My training style is:
Authentic

My why:
I really enjoy helping people achieve health and fitness goals. I love making people laugh and lifting their spirit.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
My fighting spirit comes from everything that I have lived through and experienced in life.

Rachael

Rachael is 22 years old and was raised in Byfield, MA. She grew up dancing, acting, playing soccer, and running track. Her competitive edge has pushed her to try new things and constantly improve in all aspects of life. Starting as a member at TITLE Boxing Club, she quickly became addicted and had the desire to learn more. Coach Chris Gerhardt saw that determination and took her under his wing, working on her technique and building her knowledge of boxing. While becoming a trainer, she gained confidence and skills as well as an amazing TITLE family that has always shown her their support. She loves being able to teach and help others through her work at the club. Rachael is currently a dance teacher and a student majoring in paralegal. When she’s at TITLE, Rachael challenges the members and expects them to give it their all!

My personal mantra:
"Work hard and believe in yourself."

My training style is:
Fun

My why:
I want to help people find strength that they didn't know they had.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
I get my fighting spirit from my own life experiences. Everyone is going through their own battle, and I want to have a positive impact on that fight.

×

Greg

Greg, who has been training with TITLE for two years, started his boxing career at 19 years old. He had participated in 35 amateur fights, including winning the Golden Gloves. He turned pro, and since then, Greg has had 13 professional fights under his belt with a record of 11-2-1. Currently, he’s the Massachusetts Junior Middleweight Champion.

My personal mantra:
"Keep your hands up in the game of life."

My training style is:
Authentic

My why:
I became a TITLE trainer because I wanted to teach people that they can solve most of their problems with their fists and a heavy bag.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
My fighting spirit comes from the idea that, once you enter that ring, you really understand what type of person you are. There's no faking it. There's no hiding. You either got it, or your don’t!

Dominic

Dominic was never good at team sports as a kid. He took on wrestling in 2nd grade and fell in love with the sport. He wrestled all through high school and earned his purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu along the way. Boxing was almost an accident for him, and it started with one bullying situation in 5th grade. Dominic was in a bad situation with a big group of people, and he wanted to make sure nothing like that ever happened again. He began hitting mitts a couple nights a week at the local gym in Wakefield just to learn how to defend himself. From there, Dominic fell in love with boxing and quickly picked it up and began sparring for fun. After a few years of hard work in the gym, his coach asked him if he wanted to give fighting a try. Dominic was certainly overwhelmed but said yes and took his first professional fight at age 19. After that, he joined TITLE Boxing Club and has been here ever since.

My personal mantra:
"Hands up. Chin down. In the ring and in life."

My training style is:
Authentic

My why:
Knowing that I can always be a little better is my “WHY." You cannot perfect the game of boxing, so there is always room to improve. Boxing is a great avenue for trying to always better yourself as a person and athlete, and you can always keep growing because you’ll never reach the top.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
Knowing that I could protect myself if a situation is what gives me my fighting spirit. Just knowing how to keep your hands up and throw solid punches can really boost someone’s confidence.

×

Stacey

Stacey has always been athletic, but her fitness journey really began on that first day she walked into TITLE. Since then, not only does she feel like she’s in the best shape of her life, but she’s become a certified personal trainer. As a personal trainer, she’s pursued additional certifications in group fitness and TRX. Stacey is excited to share her training with our members so that THEY can feel like they’re in the best shape of their life too!

My personal mantra:
“If you only do what you can do, you’ll never be better than what you are.” – Master Shifu

My training style is:
Transforming

My why:
TITLE Boxing Club changed my life. I took my first boxing class 5 years ago and was immediately hooked. There’s no workout out there that is as effective and FUN as a TITLE Boxing Club Power Hour.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
Every time I crush a goal, I’m inspired to push further and meet the next challenge. As a trainer, I hope to motivate members in the same way, helping them to reach - and exceed - their fitness goals.

×

Leah

Growing up, Leah played soccer, and she’s done traditional martial arts since she was 11 years old. She is still actively training in martial arts and loves every minute of it. When she had surgery on her foot years back, she needed some kind of rehab to keep herself still punching and working out – especially since she had been doing this most of her life. It was hard for her to stay sidelined. She was stuck in a boot, and it was going to take at least a year for her to be able to walk correctly, never mind being able to even kick again. She decided to join TITLE Boxing Club, and it was the best decision she ever made. She was able to work her upper body, slowly get her footwork back, and learn a different fighting style… boxing! She became addicted and couldn’t wait to hit the bag. TITLE Boxing Club has changed her life and helped her not give up – even when she kept having set backs. She kept getting back up and hitting that bag, and she loved every minute of it!

My personal mantra:
“You will never know your limits unless you push yourself to them.”

My training style is:
Energetic

My why:
I became a TITLE trainer because I love what I do. I love the sport and the energy it gives off. When I see everyone hit that bag and working out, I watch their confidence grow as they push themselves and don't give up. So many positive outcomes come from hitting the bag, and I want to help everyone reach them.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
There are so many different fighting styles, and each style has a different reasoning behind its techniques. I want to learn them all to help me become a better martial artist but also so that I can have more knowledge on how to approach different fighting scenarios.

Laura

Laura grew up being active. She started gymnastics in 1st grade and stopped after senior year of high school. Working out and conditioning was something she was used to. She tried to remain active on a regular basis, having memberships to different gyms, running, obstacle course racing…etc. Then, she tried boxing and fell in love with it. The intensity, speed, and power are all the things she craved. She became a member of TITLE in January of 2013, religiously going to six classes per week. In June of 2017, she became part of the TITLE management team. Now she is teaching classes, which allows her to help people just starting out and to witness their love of boxing evolve. To see members reach their goals and strive to be better is an amazing benefit of her job.

My personal mantra:
"No one is going to the work for you."

My training style is:
Energetic and Transforming

My why:
Any form of physical activity makes me feel powerful. Not only physically but mentally as well. If I feel strong and powerful during my workouts, I feel that way in every aspect of my life. That feeling of being fearless to try and accomplish anything life throws at me keeps me going. It keeps that voice in my head saying, "Yes, you can do this".

What gives me my fighting spirit:
I compete with myself - no one else. I have to answer to myself if I'm not happy with how I look or feel. I try to be mindful of my inner voice to push, motivate, and compliment myself - not to rely on anyone else for my accountability or self-acceptance.

Andrew

Growing up, Andrew always enjoyed watching MMA and the original UFC fights. As an adult, he realized he had true talent for MMA when he joined his friend’s gym and began training as an amateur fighter. While training, he discovered he had a true passion for teaching others his talents and skills. For 4 years, he enjoyed working with teenagers and young adults and helping them develop in the arts of Brazilian Ju Jitsu, boxing, and kickboxing. Andrew joined the crew at TITLE Boxing Club Danvers in April 2013, and he quickly became a popular trainer who is known for his excellent combos, power hooks, and superman punch.

My personal mantra:
"Respect, honesty, and pride."

My training style is:
Authentic

My why:
I love the sport, and I love teaching it.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
My wife and daughter give me my fighting spirit.

FAQ's

I’ve heard the classes are intense; do I need to be in great shape to do the workouts?

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t worked out in a while or have never boxed before, you can finish the workout feeling great! You’ll see that everyone goes at their own pace, but believe us that once you’re here, you’ll be inspired to give it your very best!

I don’t want to get hit; is this a contact workout?

No—not ever! Each person in class has their own heavy bag to workout on, plus their own space to move around the bag. Trust us, you won’t even realize anyone else is in the class because you’ll be so focused on the workout! And, rest easy, we never allow sparring or fighting at TITLE Boxing Club.

What makes TITLE different than other fitness studios?

Boxing is a great workout, perhaps one of the most challenging of all sports, and we want to bring you the intensity of the training, minus the impact. We’ll teach you how to roll with the punches by pushing you further than you thought possible.

I’m new to boxing; will someone show me the basics?

You bet! All of our classes are taught by instructors who will show you the ropes from the beginning. We’ll help you wrap your hands and walk you through the basic fundamentals. Everyone in class is at a different level, so take a deep breath and go at your own pace!

Can I bring my children with me?

We do not offer childcare services at TITLE Boxing Club. However, children over the age of eight are welcome to work out with you here and join as a member! Ask us about our Family Membership options.

What do I need to bring to class? How early do I need to arrive?

Hand wraps are essential for your protection and mandatory for class. You can bring your own or buy them here. We’ll have gloves for you to borrow your first time, and you might want to bring a bottle of water and towel! Plan on arriving 20 minutes early so we can get you settled and wrap your hands.

I’ve never hit anything before. Will I hurt myself?

For a beginner, the most important thing is to learn the proper form. The good news is that we’ll teach you! As you progress, you’ll be able to throw several variations of punches from different positions and develop your own punching technique to fit your style. People are usually surprised at how much they love hitting the heavy bag!

Can I try a class before joining?

Of course you can take classes before purchasing a membership. We have drop-in rates for single classes, three or six classes. These are great for people who travel often or want to try us out. You can choose our best value option and commit to a membership any time.

Do you have showers?

We do have a private shower for you to clean up after your workout and please bring any essentials you may need!
