I’ve always been an active athlete – I started soccer at 4 years old, learned to breakdance at 10, and competed in wrestling at 13. This built the foundation for my competitive background. After getting a little bit off-track in my teenage years growing up in Miami, I got into boxing at 18. I’ve been hooked on the sport and training others to get in the best shape of their lives and fight their inner fighter. Give my class a try; let’s get in the ring and do mitt work!

What gives me my fighting spirit: I want to be successful and become the best I can.
At the age of three, I began Tae Kwon Do with my father as my instructor, and have been involved in the martial arts world ever since. When I was very young I found a huge interest in all things health and fitness and which perfectly paired up with my passion. At the age of 16 I transitioned into kickboxing and have recently competed in a few amateur bouts, and currently actively compete in both kickboxing and MMA. When I came to try a TITLE class I was taken back by how incredible of a workout it was and was immediately excited to begin my journey with TITLE. My goal is to share my passion for fitness as well as my knowledge of boxing.

My training style is: authentic
My why: To use my knowledge and passion for fitness to help others achieve their personal goals.
What gives me my fighting spirit: My dog, cat, and dream of becoming a professional kickboxer.
Before I joined Title Boxing Club, I myself found looking for an activity that would challenge and transform the way I perceived “working out”. As a kid, I had tried different sports but never found one that I was truly excited about. So in 2018, I stepped out of my comfort zone and gave boxing a try. The intensity of the classes was addicting and after landing my first clean punch, I realized that there was an untapped strength inside of me. The more I boxed, the more confident I became, and the easier it was to handle life’s stresses. Boxing is my form of therapy, my form of discipline, and my form of stress relief. I love that it brings out the fierceness within me!
My personal mantra: Don’t think, just do.
My training style is: fun
My why: I became a trainer to show others that working out can be fun and to prove that “strong” comes in all shapes and sizes!
What gives me my fighting spirit: My faith in God – He gives me strength!
Addison grew up playing multiple sports. He focused on Football in high school but decided against pursuing football in college. He has always been fitness-focused, primarily resistance training. He jumped into boxing after college as a hobby to work more conditioning into his workouts (summer shreds). Boxing’s technique focus, ability to always improve and killer full-body workout had him hooked. He’s been boxing for 10 years and is excited to bring high-energy workouts to Title!
When Addison isn’t at Title, he’s working in Tech and a pretty big nerd (movies, technology, history, video games). Addison’s ultimate goal is to have members at all skill levels get a great workout, develop their boxing technique, and have fun doing it!
My personal mantra: Work hard, have fun, and make history.
My training style is: fun
My why: I became a trainer at Title to share my love of boxing, help members on their fitness journey, and try and make the workouts the best part of someone’s day.
What gives me my fighting spirit: The drive to always improve.
I have been passionate about sports and health since a young age. I played football all four years of high school and went on to play semi-pro for 3 years after college. I began my boxing journey in 2005 at LA Boxing, Chantilly – VA, and immediately loved everything about the sport. My biggest influence on how I teach boxing came from Stennis Floyd III. The majority of my knowledge and experience came from him. A couple years later, I applied what I’ve learned, trained myself, and competed in my first amateur boxing fight. In 2013, I went from gym member to coach and have been helping people since. I have trained multiple people for amateur fights but also train people to achieve their personal fitness and health goals. I understand the importance of adjusting fitness workouts to one’s ability and incorporate the basic fundamentals of boxing. When I’m not in the gym, I LOVE spending quality time with my wife and two boys.
My personal mantra: Never worry or pay attention to what other people are saying/doing, ONLY focus on yourself always.
My training style is: heart
My why: After resigning from UFC Gym Fairfax back in November 2019, I missed helping people getting healthy and reaching their fitness goals.
What gives me my fighting spirit: My wife and kids
With a background as an athlete in baseball and basketball, once I got the chance to take my first TITLE workout, I was hooked on the health and fitness benefits that boxing can provide. I’ve been owning TITLE clubs for about 8 years now, with training experience in leading boxing and kickboxing classes, boxing mitt work, and fitness circuit strength and conditioning training. My goal is to provide members a distraction from life stresses, the motivation to accomplish their goals, and a friendly face they can lean on for tips and advice!
My personal mantra: If you have a goal, work toward that goal (train) more days of the week, then the days you don’t.
My training style is: energetic
My why: I needed to learn more about boxing and leading group workouts in general to effectively lead our trainers. Little did I know how much fun it’d be to teach classes and hold mitts for hard hitting members!
What gives me my fighting spirit: To lay the foundation of a hard-working, productive mindset into my (future) kids, just as my family has instilled in me.
Coach. A fitting title for Title’s most unlikely of trainers. When he is not helping companies with corporate real estate, you can find Josh coaching… on the diamond coaching softball, on the turf coaching lacrosse, and at Title, coaching boxing. He truly happiest and in his element when he is helping people be their best in whatever they are passionate about. It’s what he lives for! And, if you’ve ever taken one of his classes, you know that Josh will get the best out of you, one punch at a time, one drop of sweat at a time. One of the original Title Boxing Club members in Northern Virginia, he knows what it takes to get you in the door, and what it takes to make you want to stay. He will settle for nothing less than giving you the best hour of your day.

My why: I became a trainer at Title Boxing Club because I want our members to experience the same senses of joy and belonging that I do when I walk in the front door, and the same feelings of satisfaction and confidence that I have when I walk out.
What gives me my fighting spirit: Everything I do, I do for my two daughters. I hope the lesson they take away from what I am doing at Title is that it’s never too late for anything.
Kurt had an innate love of sports from an early age. He played goalkeeper on youth soccer teams, winning two state championships before going on to compete at the collegiate level. Having hung up his cleats following multiple surgeries, Kurt turned his attention to the training gym, where his self-drive and determination led him to where he is today. Friends started noticing his physical change and started asking his advice on workouts, training, nutrition, and he found he had a sincere interest in teaching others. Kurt believes that above all else workouts should be fun.
My personal mantra: Get busy livin’ or get busy dyin’
My training style is: brave
My why: Boxing is something I have always had an interest in and saw this as great opportunity to learn a new skill. Plus, I love to help people achieve their fitness goals and I am a very knowledgeable person about fitness and nutrition.
What gives me my fighting spirit: I love to prove people wrong who continuously doubt me in my life.
Will was introduced to martial arts when he was enrolled in karate at age 6. His parents hoped it might teach him self-discipline, focus, and respect. They hoped. A lifelong obsession with combat sports was born and he went on to explore other disciplines, including Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, and Capoeira. His favorite sport outside of the combat realm is basketball, and we have been informed by numerous reputable sources that he shoots like Stephen Curry.
Will has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from JMU, he is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and when he isn’t at Title, he works full time as an EMT. Will has experience training people of all ages and body types; from autistic children to cane-toting senior citizens to professional athletes. His ultimate goal is for everyone he trains to feel free within their own body so that their best self may manifest.

My why: Healthcare is expensive.
What gives me my fighting spirit: My sense of responsibility to counteract the crooks selling stuff that they definitely know is killing us.
Troy has over twenty years of experience in the amateur and professional ranks of boxing. As an amateur, Troy has experience at the state and regional areas as well as at the silver and Golden Gloves levels. Troy believes that boxing is a sport unlike any other; it conditions one’s body and mind and is the only sport that melds one’s body and mind into one collective unit. To this end, his teaching and approach is simple- it guarantees success while having fun and reaping the benefits of boxing. His goal as a trainer at Title Boxing Club Fairfax is to share with you 20 years of experience and expertise to help you establish a healthy lifestyle base on the foundation of employing boxing technique and skills. As such, you will learn the benefits of boxing and develop proper boxing technique and execution. Be prepared for an energy filled hour full of calorie burning.

What gives me my fighting spirit: My family and working with students with disabilities, and watching them grow on a daily basis.
Tim found his love for boxing at a very young age. He clearly remembers watching all of the great fighters and fights of our generation. The love of boxing has made Tim gravitate toward individual sports, like wrestling in high school. After high school, Tim served in the United States Army. This further instilled the importance of physical fitness. Upon leaving the military, Tim completed his degree in Sports Management from George Mason University. Tim likes to develop his classes from his sport experience and pair it with the challenging aspects of his military training, but most importantly, keep it fun and engaging.

My why: I wanted to develop a high energy, fun but very challenging class in which members can learn about the great sport of boxing while also witnessing the outstanding benefits of exercising with TITLE Boxing Club.
Johanna picked up the sport of boxing in December 2011 when her husband bought her a heavy bag for Christmas. It all started as a way to relieve stress but after hitting the bag for the first time she was hooked. The longer Johanna found herself spending time hitting the bag the more she fell in love with boxing. Her desire to get in the ring grew. With the help of Troy, another one of our TITLE trainers, Johanna eventually got trained and fought in her first amateur fight. As a working mother with four kids, she only had the chance to make it into the ring once, but given the opportunity to do it again, she would. Her dedication truly shows when she’s up every morning leading the morning crowd through her killer 6am classes and finds herself back in the gym later in the evening to take classes for her own workout!
My personal mantra: There is never an end…You can always keep pushing for better!

We specialize in group fitness classes (boxing and kickboxing) and pride ourselves on providing top-notch strength and conditioning personal training services. Are you wanting to take your fitness to the next level? Our decorated trainers provide one-on-one and group training sessions for anyone looking to up their game. “It will never be easy to change your habits, but it will always be worth it. Our group fitness classes begin with the warmups – a HIIT workout that combines trainer-led boxing with cardio drills and stretches. This gets your heart pumping and your mind ready for the next phase of your boxing for fitness class – the rounds. During the rounds, your trainer will lead you through a series of jab, hook, and cross combinations where you’ll lay it all on the heavy bag for three minutes; then, you’ll rest for a minute before jumping into the next round. Once you’ve finished the rounds, our trainers will lead you through an ab workout where you’ll use weighted medicine balls to define your core.

I’ve heard the classes are intense; do I need to be in great shape to do the workouts?
It doesn’t matter if you haven’t worked out in a while or have never boxed before, you can finish the workout feeling great! You’ll see that everyone goes at their own pace, but believe us that once you’re here, you’ll be inspired to give it your very best!
I don’t want to get hit; is this a contact workout?
No—not ever! Each person in class has their own heavy bag to workout on, plus their own space to move around the bag. Trust us, you won’t even realize anyone else is in the class because you’ll be so focused on the workout! And, rest easy, we never allow sparring or fighting at TITLE Boxing Club.
What makes TITLE different than other fitness studios?
Boxing is a great workout, perhaps one of the most challenging of all sports, and we want to bring you the intensity of the training, minus the impact. We’ll teach you how to roll with the punches by pushing you further than you thought possible.
I’m new to boxing; will someone show me the basics?
You bet! All of our classes are taught by instructors who will show you the ropes from the beginning. We’ll help you wrap your hands and walk you through the basic fundamentals. Everyone in class is at a different level, so take a deep breath and go at your own pace!
Can I bring my children with me?
We do not offer childcare services at TITLE Boxing Club. However, children over the age of eight are welcome to work out with you here and join as a member! Ask us about our Family Membership options.
What do I need to bring to class? How early do I need to arrive?
Hand wraps and gloves are essential for your protection and mandatory for class. If you have some bring 'em, If you don't, no worries. We sell all equipment at the club. Make sure to also bring a bottle of water and a towel! Plan on arriving 20-30 minutes early so we can get you settled and wrap your hands.
I’ve never hit anything before. Will I hurt myself?
For a beginner, the most important thing is to learn the proper form. The good news is that we’ll teach you! As you progress, you’ll be able to throw several variations of punches from different positions and develop your own punching technique to fit your style. People are usually surprised at how much they love hitting the heavy bag!
