She took her first TITLE Boxing class in 2012 and instantly gained a passion for group fitness and the sport of boxing. Sarah recently graduated from Penn State with a degree in Middle Level Mathematics Education. There, she spent her free time leading the Women’s Club Water Polo team and kickboxing in the off season. She is excited to play a role in motivating members of this TITLE community to succeed in achieving their fitness goals… While having a little fun with it!

Susan

Susan has been an avid group exercise fan since college, but it wasn’t until she starting boxing in 2008 that she really found her niche. She’s remained a dedicated boxer and kick boxer ever since. For a time, Susan sparred regularly to get a feel for what it’s like to be in the ring.  She still loves doing mitts and partner work to mix things up and improve her technique.  She cross trains with swimming, running, weightlifting and yoga. Susan has completed several races of varying distances, including a half-marathon, as well as the swimming leg of a sprint tri.  She has her first open water swim planned for this fall. Outside of the gym, she stays active through hiking and walking her dogs—other than boxing, nothing beats exercising outdoors.

My personal mantra:
"Go big or go home."

My training style is:
Energetic

My why:
Boxing has consistently brought me joy and kept me motivated to stay in shape. I want to share my enthusiasm through training and encourage others to reach their goals.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
My family- an awesome husband who helps keep me sane and our large flock of rescue pets that give a lot of love.

FAQ's

I’ve heard the classes are intense; do I need to be in great shape to do the workouts?

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t worked out in a while or have never boxed before, you can finish the workout feeling great! You’ll see that everyone goes at their own pace, but believe us that once you’re here, you’ll be inspired to give it your very best!

I don’t want to get hit; is this a contact workout?

No—not ever! Each person in class has their own heavy bag to workout on, plus their own space to move around the bag. Trust us, you won’t even realize anyone else is in the class because you’ll be so focused on the workout! And, rest easy, we never allow sparring or fighting at TITLE Boxing Club.

What makes TITLE different than other fitness studios?

Boxing is a great workout, perhaps one of the most challenging of all sports, and we want to bring you the intensity of the training, minus the impact. We’ll teach you how to roll with the punches by pushing you further than you thought possible.

I’m new to boxing; will someone show me the basics?

You bet! All of our classes are taught by instructors who will show you the ropes from the beginning. We’ll help you wrap your hands and walk you through the basic fundamentals. Everyone in class is at a different level, so take a deep breath and go at your own pace!
