Christina

While I attended undergrad at Virginia Tech, I worked at the gym where I fell in love with fitness. Ever since then, I live an active lifestyle and am always trying new things to challenge myself both mentally and physically. I enjoy everything from yoga and pilates, to running, weightlifting, and HIIT training. I try to lead by example and do my best to come up with challenging exercises and combos to motivate students at TITLE Boxing Club.

My personal mantra:
Get comfortable being uncomfortable.

My training style is:
energetic

My why:
I started taking classes here at TITLE Boxing Club and enjoyed it so much that I became a trainer to be able to share the sport with others!

What gives me my fighting spirit:
My friends and family who are my biggest support system.

Nick

At the age of three, I began Tae Kwon Do with my father as my instructor, and have been involved in the martial arts world ever since. When I was very young I found a huge interest in all things health and fitness and which perfectly paired up with my passion. At the age of 16, I transitioned into kickboxing and have recently competed in a few amateur bouts, and currently actively compete in both kickboxing and MMA. When I came to try a TITLE class I was taken back by how incredible of a workout it was and was immediately excited to begin my journey with TITLE. My goal is to share my passion for fitness as well as my knowledge of boxing.

My personal mantra:
The secret to success is discipline

My training style is:
authentic

My why:
To use my knowledge and passion for fitness to help others achieve their personal goals.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
My dog, cat, and dream of becoming a professional kickboxer.

Sarah

Sarah grew up in Naperville, IL as a competitive swimmer and water polo player. She took her first TITLE Boxing class in 2012 and instantly gained a love for group fitness and the sport of boxing. Sarah moved to Ashburn, VA for a teaching job after graduating from Penn State with a Middle-Level Mathematics Education Degree. There, she spent her free time leading the Women’s Club Water Polo team and kickboxing in the off-season. Coaching at TITLE Boxing Club has allowed her to merge her passions for teaching and fitness into one kick-butt side gig in the evenings!

My personal mantra:
“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” - Neale Donald Walsch

My training style is:
energetic

My why:
I became a trainer at TITLE boxing club because I was eager to find a different perspective in the sport of boxing. I believe finding a new perspective is the key to learning something new and with that comes the ability to share the experience with others.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
My students. They remind me every day that even the smallest successes deserve a big smile!

Shane

I have used boxing to keep physically and mentally healthy. Ever since a young age, I have been obsessed with gaining and maintaining the healthiest version of myself that I can create. I come from a background with multiple black belts, mixed martial arts experience, and boxing. I use boxing as not only a way to get a great cardio workout in, but to clear the mind as well.

My personal mantra:
Hustle in the shadow, shine in the light.

My training style is:
energetic

My why:
I became a trainer at TITLE boxing to teach others how to live a healthy lifestyle, control stress, and form habits that create a successful lifestyle.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
My drive to be the best version of myself is what wakes me up every morning.

Lorie

I have been Boxing (in classes) for over 12 years and I am also a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I was a long-time member of Title Boxing before I became a trainer. I enjoy helping people and I love my Title Boxing classes! I am high-energy and look forward to having you in my class!

I have two college kids, a husband, and the best dog (rescue) on the planet!

My personal mantra:
I have two mantras: “Mind over Matter” is the first one which reflects that you can do anything that you set your mind to. The second one is simple, “Be Bold. Be caring. Be a Difference Maker.”

My training style is:
energetic

My why:
I became a trainer because I enjoy helping people. Boxing is one of the best workouts overall. I like to help members learn how to box/kickbox and feel the accomplishment of finishing a Title class while giving it their all!

What gives me my fighting spirit:
My family! I live for them and enjoy everything about them.

Amelie

My personal mantra:
"Never quit, never settle"

My training style is:
authentic

My why:
I want to be a part of helping people reach their various goals.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
I am joining the military to become a JAG officer and I want to make sure I am keeping myself physically and mentally ready.

Joelle

Yes, I am a wife, a mother of an awesome child, and a Dental Assistant… but what I have accomplished for solely myself is becoming a Professional Boxer with an undefeated record. I have a total of 12 years of boxing experience. I have trained with some of the best in the world such as Tori Nelson (3-time World Champ), Shukar Stevenson, Jenny Forrester, and Jennifer Selenas to name a few. I have learned so much from them as well as others and I love being able to pass that knowledge on. Hence, why I have been teaching boxing for the past 10 years. Being able to help someone meet their goal, grow confidence, and fall in love with the sport as I have is more rewarding than any fight I have won during my boxing career.

My personal mantra:
"Don't forget to have fun!" In doing so, you will discover how fierce you can be., how unstoppable you are, and that hard work becomes non-negotiable.

My training style is:
authentic

My why:
It is the one place where I can pursue my passion. It is more than just a fitness gym. It is a boxing gym with some boxing gym with some fitness included. Not the norm which is why I feel most at home.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
My past. I have found that instead of running from it, embracing all the hardships gives me the push to build a better future.

My personal mantra:
“When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you will be successful”

My training style is:
authentic

My why:
I love helping people reach their fitness goals.

What gives me my fighting spirit:

FAQ's

I’ve heard the classes are intense; do I need to be in great shape to do the workouts?

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t worked out in a while or have never boxed before, you can finish the workout feeling great! You’ll see that everyone goes at their own pace, but believe us that once you’re here, you’ll be inspired to give it your very best!

I don’t want to get hit; is this a contact workout?

No—not ever! Each person in class has their own heavy bag to workout on, plus their own space to move around the bag. Trust us, you won’t even realize anyone else is in the class because you’ll be so focused on the workout! And, rest easy, we never allow sparring or fighting at TITLE Boxing Club.

What makes TITLE different than other fitness studios?

Boxing is a great workout, perhaps one of the most challenging of all sports, and we want to bring you the intensity of the training, minus the impact. We’ll teach you how to roll with the punches by pushing you further than you thought possible.

I’m new to boxing; will someone show me the basics?

You bet! All of our classes are taught by instructors who will show you the ropes from the beginning. We’ll help you wrap your hands and walk you through the basic fundamentals. Everyone in class is at a different level, so take a deep breath and go at your own pace!
