TITLE Boxing Club Rock Hill, MO has a new Brand Ambassador, Sumner Ahearn! Sumner will be responsible for getting others in on the TITLE hype and making sure our social media is 🔥 Let’s get to know him a little better…
Originally from St. Louis, MO, Sumner has played basketball his whole life. After graduating from Clayton High School, he went on to play basketball at Fontbonne University from 2010-2014. He then became the Manager of Basketball Operations and Video Coordination for the Austin Spurs Basketball Team. Transitioning from basketball, Sumner wanted to find something athletic, challenging, and competitive. That’s when his friends told him to try boxing. Sumner heard about TITLE, took a class, and has been hooked ever since.
Here’s a snapshot of our Q&A with Sumner:
Why do you love TITLE Boxing Club Rock Hill, MO?
Intensity. Pace. Commitment. People. The workout is challenging and intense, but to your own limits. Trainers give you the workouts to do, and you can take them at any level you want. The pace of the workout is great, I want to move and get my heart rate up and burn calories, so the quick transitions and exercises help that. The commitment is one of my favorite parts of the gym. We have a TITLE group chat with my family and friends who have joined since I joined, and we are talking about classes to attend daily. Between the other members and the trainers, it’s clear commitment is important to the gym, and they keep you accountable for the workouts. The members are always working hard and are always outgoing and helpful The amount of people that look out for and help all the new boxers is motivating. The trainers always push you to take your workout and lifestyle to the next level and help in anyway they can. It’s truly a group full of people that can make a boxing gym feel like home.
Do you have a favorite workout or nutrition tip?
Yeah! Pick a time (at least an hour or two before bed) and don’t eat after that. My time is 8pm, and I stick to it as much as possible. It helps me sleep, wake up feeling refreshed, and avoid unnecessary snacking and eating late at night.
What are 3 fun facts about you?
I’ve been to Disney World 17 times, I’m still doing 100 squats a day from February, I’ve been a vegetarian since June 2018 and just turned vegan, and as a bonus fun fact, I’ve been to 34 states.
