Trainer/Staff Bio

DJ Doug has been in athletics his whole life. From baseball and hockey to weightlifting and boot camps, Doug has always had a hard time taking it easy. As a local DJ, Doug has DJ’d at 18+ gyms in the area giving him a very strong inside on how members of all shapes and sizes like to be coached. He and his wife Erica own Title Shelby and their passion for family and fitness is the driving force of Title Shelby

I fell in love with the work out and the challenge. Growing this skill every day keeps you coming back.

What gives me my fighting spirit:

Building a legacy for my wife, son and daughter.

I’m a lifelong athlete, certified fitness professional and life coach with a passion for helping people reach their fitness goals and become healthier physically, mentally and emotionally.   I grew up as a competitive swimmer, then began running, cycling and leading fitness classes.  With 20+ years in the fitness industry, I have always pushed myself to give my best every class and am extremely proud to be  part of the Title Shelby Team.

I became a trainer at Title because I loved the work out, the community, the passion and the dedication to excellence Title represented and wanted to be part of helping Title members become their best.

Trainer/Staff Bio

Tristan “Coach Viper” was a member at Title Shelby before becoming a trainer and is a long time athlete who played basketball, baseball, and ran cross country throughout high school. He went on to Oakland University where he continued to lift weights and play several intramural sports while graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Finance.

My why:

The incredible workouts got me in the door as a member but the community and family oriented environment is what made me want to become a trainer along with being able to make a positive impact on people’s day.

The strive to be the best version of myself and spreading that message is what gives me my fighting spirit.

Darian “Cranker” was an athlete her whole life, until she began pursuing a Bachelor’s in Genetics from Michigan State University. She found a love for fitness again in 2021 when she joined Title Boxing. Boxing at Title grew her passion for fitness, and within a year and a half she became a coach, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and Nutrition Coach. With a combined love of fitness and science, she will be attending Oakland University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

Darian became a trainer at Title Boxing club because she wanted to share with others what Title has given her: confidence, physical and mental strength, and a passion for fitness.

Matt “Coach Matty” was a member of Title Shelby since 2016 before he became a trainer. He also had trained in Krav Maga since 2015. Matt’s focus is on functional fitness, mental health, and personal growth.

I love boxing and passing on what I’ve learned to others. Being a trainer was the next on my fitness journey.

I have a long time fitness background and played sports most of my life. I’ve always had a love for fitness growing up and everyday it’s been a big part of my life. However, my true love for fitness came when I experienced how it greatly supported my mental health. As a trainer and mental health therapist, I strongly believe in the connection between our physical and mental health and am excited for the opportunity to help others develop that connection as well.

I grew up around sports and being active was a huge part of my life. Throughout my youth, I tried just about every sport, but fell in love with volleyball and dancing competitively. Although physical activity was something I grew up knowing, I lost motivation and struggled to find something I loved and would stay consistent with. Then came boxing. The workout itself is one that is unmatched and has helped transform my mind, body & spirit in ways I didn’t know were possible. Being a member at Title allowed me to learn to love myself and feel strong and empowered. Now, as a coach, what drives me is being able to pass on and share that same experience with all members.

To be the best possible version of myself, for myself, so I can then pour into others and inspire them to do the same.

Trainer/Staff Bio

I am a lifelong sports enthusiast who grew up playing various sports, leading to my strong passion for athletics. I played softball at Davenport University and had a very successful athletic career over the five years I spent there. Post-graduation, fitness still plays a huge role in my life due to the love I have for weightlifting and cardio exercises. With boxing, I have found a way to stay fit while also fulfilling my desire to still be apart of a sport.

I became a trainer at Title because I wanted to help others build their confidence, achieve their fitness goals, and get 1% better everyday.

What gives me my fighting spirit:

Resiliency. Being able to bounce back from setbacks or adversity with a mentally tough mindset.

I have always been involved in athletics. I grew up playing tennis and soccer and was able to compete at the collegiate level for soccer at Lourdes University. I am a third grade teacher and my passion for inspiring and shaping young minds has directly influenced my drive to inspire others at any age or fitness level. I started as a member and fell in love with boxing and the community that Title Shelby has to offer. I simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity to coach and pass on my love for fitness and community to others.

Title has given me the ability to push myself mentally and physically further than I could imagine and I find myself constantly looking for the next opportunity to become better.

Health has always been a passion of mine, particularly on an internal level. Growing up, I wanted to combine my love for healthcare with creativity, which led me to pursue a career in dentistry. I also enjoyed the discipline of weightlifting but struggled to incorporate style into my workouts—until I discovered Title Boxing. The energy and flow of the sport transformed my approach to fitness. As a coach, I’m dedicated to helping others break free from the stigma surrounding fitness and discover their own potential and strengths.

Trainer/Staff Bio

I am a mother of an adorable 3 year old boy (Eisley) and wife to an amazing husband. We are a hockey family at heart with a passion for boxing! As you can tell, we also are HUGE Star wars fans. I have a fitness background in CrossFit. I started at Title as a member to find an identity for myself. As a mother, it was hard to see myself as anything but that. I wanted to dive into something that gave me relief from all of my anxieties and frustrations, and that is exactly what I found. When I am hitting the bag, I am able to let everything go and become my best self. As a result of training at Title Shelby, I have found myself more confident, less stressed, and completely renewed physically and mentally. I have such a passion for boxing and the people at Title, it felt fitting to pursue a role there.

Boxing at Title has transformed my mental health, physical fitness, reconnected me with my faith, and made me feel real beyond anything else. I want to give people the opportunity to feel that also when they are on the bag.
