Joe

Joe started Boxing at the age of 11. He originally started out at a place over in Peabody and then eventually moved to a gym in Saugus (Tomacellos boxing club, which is now named JR13 Boxing). Jake fought amature for most of his teenage years. Then, he took a small break from boxing. Jake ended up competing in powerlifting for a few years, gave that up, and ended up boxing again. He had his last fight October of 2016.

My personal mantra:
"Go hard or go home."

My training style is:
Authentic

My why:
I love teaching people the same things that I was lucky enough to learn and be a part of. I want other people to be able to experience the power and strength that boxing can provide.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
My competitiveness and will to fight.

×

Cordula

Cordula has been an athlete (running, swimming, gym rat) her entire life. So it’s not a surprise she was immediately ‘hooked’ when she first tried out TITLE in 2014. It was just a matter of time before Cordula decided to train to become a coach (Spring ’17). Working with all the members has been the most inspiring and gratifying experience for her. She is an ACE-certified personal trainer, and she is currently working on her ACE Health Coach and Spartan SGX certifications.

My personal mantra:
"Constantly challenge yourself."

My training style is:
Transforming

My why:
The best part of my day is when I can help members set and achieve their goals, overcome hurdles or fears, and walk out at the end of their session with the biggest smile on their face.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
I get my fighting spirit from all the people around me - everybody has an inspiring story. #cantstopwontstop

Tom

An Everett native born and raised, Tom is our resident drill sergeant! Tom is a retired Everett Police officer who worked in Special Operations. He was injured in a training accident after falling through a roof several stories. Inspired by his physical therapy after the accident, and his passion for fitness, Tom changed careers to fitness and has never looked back. Tom has been training Group fitness for almost ten years, and he has been teaching at TITLE since our grand opening three and a half years ago. He is NASM-certified and only has one speed from bell-to-bell! He accepts nothing but high-intensity from start to finish, and he brings it each and every class!

My personal mantra:
"Can’t stop, don’t stop, won’t stop!"

My training style is:
Authentic

My why:
It's what I do. It's why I'm here!

What gives me my fighting spirit:
After conquering my own traumatic life events, I wanted to help people achieve their own personal goals.

×

Sean

Martial arts and fitness have been a part of Sean’s life since a very young age. He started doing traditional karate around age eight and hasn’t stopped learning about different martial arts. Now, Sean competes in mixed martial arts or MMA and enjoys helping others reach their fitness and health goals through the techniques and principals he has learned here at TITLE Boxing Club.

My personal mantra:
"Stay hungry."

My training style is:
Authentic

My why:
I want to help people become a better version of themselves.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
My family, fiancée, and friends drive me and inspire me to be better everyday.

Melissa P

Melissa started off at TITLE Boxing in Saugus as a member during a low point in her life. She still remembers her first class was January 18th 2016 at 5AM! She remembers everything about that day because TITLE changed her life. Melissa remembers after class, not only did she feel sore, but she felt lighter. Lighter in the sense of whatever she was worrying about went away. TITLE distracted her for an hour and got her brain to stop thinking about everything and just focus on what’s in front of her. Melissa fell in love with boxing and TITLE. It got her through her toughest times in life, made her more confident, and made her a mentally and physically stronger person.

My personal mantra:
"When life's tough, remember you are tougher!"

My training style is:
Connected

My why:
My "Why", my reason why I want to teach and still take classes is because of that feeling you get when the last bell goes off in core. Yes, you're tired, you sweated in places you didn't know you could, and you can't move; BUT you feel like you can take on whatever life throws at you...and yes, you will jab cross the heck out of it!

What gives me my fighting spirit:
Similar to my why, my fighting spirit comes from whatever obstacles are thrown at me that day. Whatever I'm feeling, I leave on the bag! Whatever happened that day, I promise myself I will go in and give it my all. I also promise myself that if I'm feeling anything negative I will leave it on the bag! Whatever happened that day, week, month, or year, I will save it for the bag! My fighting spirit also gets energy from you guys!! You guys inspire me every day and push me to work harder! I feed off of your energy during class, and I love when I see you guys pushing yourselves!

Leah

Growing up, Leah played soccer, and she’s done traditional martial arts since she was 11 years old. She is still actively training in martial arts and loves every minute of it. When she had surgery on her foot years back, she needed some kind of rehab to keep herself still punching and working out – especially since she had been doing this most of her life. It was hard for her to stay sidelined. She was stuck in a boot, and it was going to take at least a year for her to be able to walk correctly, never mind being able to even kick again. She decided to join TITLE Boxing Club, and it was the best decision she ever made. She was able to work her upper body, slowly get her footwork back, and learn a different fighting style… boxing! She became addicted and couldn’t wait to hit the bag. TITLE Boxing Club has changed her life and helped her not give up – even when she kept having set backs. She kept getting back up and hitting that bag, and she loved every minute of it!

My personal mantra:
“You will never know your limits unless you push yourself to them.”

My training style is:
Energetic

My why:
I became a TITLE trainer because I love what I do. I love the sport and the energy it gives off. When I see everyone hit that bag and working out, I watch their confidence grow as they push themselves and don't give up. So many positive outcomes come from hitting the bag, and I want to help everyone reach them.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
There are so many different fighting styles, and each style has a different reasoning behind its techniques. I want to learn them all to help me become a better martial artist but also so that I can have more knowledge on how to approach different fighting scenarios.

Kenny

Kenny is the Owner here at TITLE Boxing Club Danvers, Saugus, and Salem. He has worked with the franchise since 2012, owning multiple locations as well as playing multiple roles in the national franchise to help develop its brand standards and product offerings. He is from North Reading, MA and has spent most of his life in Boston’s Northshore. The opportunity arose to follow his passion in fitness and to open the first TITLE Boxing Club in New England. He took the opportunity and paved the way for the following 18 locations that currently exist around the Boston Area.

My personal mantra:
“Motivate. Dominate.”

My training style is:
Authentic and Fun

My why:
I love being a TITLE trainer because fighting lives in all of us - whether it be in the sport, or in traffic, or in whatever else life throws at you. We teach how to fight, although not each other, but the mentality it takes to do it. This translates through class, and its residual effects in life are amazing to see. Boxing works as weight loss, stress relief, empowerment, and a way of developing a strong community. Seeing this on a daily basis through member successes is a major privilege of working with TITLE Boxing Club.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
The members. As trainers, we get a direct view of hard work and determination. Seeing the sweat, the focused eyes, and the determined muscles working through each round is amazing. When that bell rings, a member’s true personality starts to shine through the conditioned way life has forced it to be. Boxing is motivation + education + accountability, and when these 3 things are combined through fitness, anything is achievable. The workout you receive is the easy part. There is no question that hitting that heavy bag will get you where you want to be physically; however, no one is prepared for where it can take them mentally. You’ll have to see that for yourself.

×

Jake

From member to trainer, Jake was inspired by his own mother who’s another TITLE trainer. He recently made the switch from being a member and started teach boxing and kickboxing classes. Jake loves the whole TITLE family, and he believes that it’s a fun place to hang around.

My personal mantra:
"Just be Happy."

My training style is:
Fun

My why:
I was inspired by the workout itself. I enjoy helping people reach new goals and improve their skills.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
My fighting spirit comes from my dedication and will power to commit and execute.

×

Ikaro

Growing up in a Brazilian household, soccer was in Ikaro’s blood. At the age of three, Ikaro took his first step into a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym, and that was his calling. Studying the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu opened doors for him in the fitness community. As a high school student, wrestling became his sport of choice. He placed top 5 in the state of MA, and it earned him the opportunity to participate in national competitions. Fitness has been part of Ikaro’s life since he can remember, but remember, it is never too late for you to start.

My personal mantra:
"No matter how tired you think you are, never stop hitting the bag."

My training style is:
Energetic and Fun

My why:
I enjoy educating and pushing members one punch at a time.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
Being a part of mixed martial arts gym has taught me everything I know, but watching people grow within a sport that's so personal to me makes my job a million times easier.

×

Dominic

Dominic was never good at team sports as a kid. He took on wrestling in 2nd grade and fell in love with the sport. He wrestled all through high school and earned his purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu along the way. Boxing was almost an accident for him, and it started with one bullying situation in 5th grade. Dominic was in a bad situation with a big group of people, and he wanted to make sure nothing like that ever happened again. He began hitting mitts a couple nights a week at the local gym in Wakefield just to learn how to defend himself. From there, Dominic fell in love with boxing and quickly picked it up and began sparring for fun. After a few years of hard work in the gym, his coach asked him if he wanted to give fighting a try. Dominic was certainly overwhelmed but said yes and took his first professional fight at age 19. After that, he joined TITLE Boxing Club and has been here ever since.

My personal mantra:
"Hands up. Chin down. In the ring and in life."

My training style is:
Authentic

My why:
Knowing that I can always be a little better is my “WHY." You cannot perfect the game of boxing, so there is always room to improve. Boxing is a great avenue for trying to always better yourself as a person and athlete, and you can always keep growing because you’ll never reach the top.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
Knowing that I could protect myself if a situation is what gives me my fighting spirit. Just knowing how to keep your hands up and throw solid punches can really boost someone’s confidence.

Donna

In school, Donna was a runner, dancer, and cheerleader. She’s always enjoyed exercising and trying new things. From Spartan races to hip hop classes, she’ll try them all. Donna has been a trainer for over 10 years in cardio kickboxing, HIIT training, conditioning, and boxing. Her greatest enjoyment is teaching something new to a member and having them leave the class happy and sweaty.

My personal mantra:
"Don’t wish for it. Work for it."

My training style is:
Energetic

My why:
I love to motivate and inspire members to get the most out of their workout.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
I’m personally competitive with everything I do. I’m always trying to improve and perfect whatever I’m passionate about.

FAQ's

I’ve heard the classes are intense; do I need to be in great shape to do the workouts?

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t worked out in a while or have never boxed before, you can finish the workout feeling great! You’ll see that everyone goes at their own pace, but believe us that once you’re here, you’ll be inspired to give it your very best!

I don’t want to get hit; is this a contact workout?

No—not ever! Each person in class has their own heavy bag to workout on, plus their own space to move around the bag. Trust us, you won’t even realize anyone else is in the class because you’ll be so focused on the workout! And, rest easy, we never allow sparring or fighting at TITLE Boxing Club.

What makes TITLE different than other fitness studios?

Boxing is a great workout, perhaps one of the most challenging of all sports, and we want to bring you the intensity of the training, minus the impact. We’ll teach you how to roll with the punches by pushing you further than you thought possible.

I’m new to boxing; will someone show me the basics?

You bet! All of our classes are taught by instructors who will show you the ropes from the beginning. We’ll help you wrap your hands and walk you through the basic fundamentals. Everyone in class is at a different level, so take a deep breath and go at your own pace!
