My passions in life are martial arts, connecting with people, and making the world a better place through teaching. Martial arts has shaped my life for the better and I wish to give back to my community. I am so lucky to have started at an early age, but the beautiful thing is: it’s never too late to start! 23 years of martial arts training has taught me that: the more I learn, the less I truly know. Kickboxing has rejuvenated my life, as I had no idea in which direction I wanted to go; I’ve found a home in Utah and in TITLE Boxing Club Sugarhouse.

My why:
It is my belief that martial arts are a critical part of mastering of the self. This is a life long journey, constantly learning and investing in the safety and health of the practitioner.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
Seeing the injustice that takes place across the world. I want to make a change for the better and it started with myself.



Entrepreneur, student, outdoor sports enthusiast, Detroit transplant, kickboxer, former fat kid. I love kickboxing and what it has done for my life!  Being a Trainer at TITLE Boxing Club allows me to share that passion with others working to improve their life.

My training style is:

My why:
I started kickboxing training (Muay Thai style) because I was obese, I stopped counting my weight at 265 lbs and hated everything about how I felt, both physically and mentally. I got down to 245 with cardio exercise but I quickly hit a plateau and couldn’t drop any more weight. Kickboxing made sense because I was always rough around the edges growing up and I needed a better outlet than what I was currently doing. Now I walk around at 165-167lbs and fight in the 155lb weight class. I love how I look and feel more than I ever thought possible. Kickboxing helped push me past my conceived limits and boundaries, and allowed me to mold myself into the person I want to be.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
The obsession to see how far I can push my mind and body in competitive kickboxing.

A belief that exercise and nutrition are the best medicine for people of all ages.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
Fighting was an almost everyday thing in the neighborhood that I grew up in. When I was a child my Father would tell telling me to, "go back and teach them a lesson" when I came home beat up or bullied.

I love being a trainer at TITLE Boxing Club! I have worked on and off for TITLE for five years at locations in Chicago, St. Louis, and now Salt Lake City. I have been in the fitness industry for over ten years, and believe that TITLE offers a unique and rewarding workout from which people of all fitness levels can benefit. When I’m not training at TITLE, I’m serving in the Army Reserves, currently assigned to the 76th Operational Response Command at Ft. Douglas.

My personal mantra:
"Never discourage anyone who continually makes progress, no matter how slow" (alright... so I stole this from Plato, but it's good stuff!)

My why:
There are people in this world who don't have the ability to exercise and prioritize their health. It's a disservice to them if I waste my opportunities.

No fear. Fear cripples potential.

I’ve heard the classes are intense; do I need to be in great shape to do the workouts?

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t worked out in a while or have never boxed before, you can finish the workout feeling great! You’ll see that everyone goes at their own pace, but believe us that once you’re here, you’ll be inspired to give it your very best!

I don’t want to get hit; is this a contact workout?

No—not ever! Each person in class has their own heavy bag to workout on, plus their own space to move around the bag. Trust us, you won’t even realize anyone else is in the class because you’ll be so focused on the workout! And, rest easy, we never allow sparring or fighting at TITLE Boxing Club.

What makes TITLE different than other fitness studios?

Boxing is a great workout, perhaps one of the most challenging of all sports, and we want to bring you the intensity of the training, minus the impact. We’ll teach you how to roll with the punches by pushing you further than you thought possible.

I’m new to boxing; will someone show me the basics?

You bet! All of our classes are taught by instructors who will show you the ropes from the beginning. We’ll help you wrap your hands and walk you through the basic fundamentals. Everyone in class is at a different level, so take a deep breath and go at your own pace!

Can I bring my children with me?

We do not offer childcare services at TITLE Boxing Club. However, children over the age of eight are welcome to work out with you here and join as a member! Ask us about our Family Membership options.

What do I need to bring to class? How early do I need to arrive?

Hand wraps are essential for your protection and mandatory for class. You can bring your own or buy them here. We’ll have gloves for you to borrow your first time, and you might want to bring a bottle of water and towel! Plan on arriving 20 minutes early so we can get you settled and wrap your hands.

I’ve never hit anything before. Will I hurt myself?

For a beginner, the most important thing is to learn the proper form. The good news is that we’ll teach you! As you progress, you’ll be able to throw several variations of punches from different positions and develop your own punching technique to fit your style. People are usually surprised at how much they love hitting the heavy bag!
