Dominique

My Journey in boxing started accidentally. I was in a new school my Junior year in high school, not many friends so I joined the track team and had a good first year, and to stay in shape, I trained with my Uncle who worked at a popular gym in Brooklyn. I didn’t know what I was doing but I showed up everyday and then my Uncle signed me up for the Golden Gloves tournament with only 4 month of training under my belt. I entered the tournament, nervous but ready, ended up winning my first fight and from that night on, all I wanted to do was keep learning and keep winning.

My personal mantra:
“Let’s Go Champ '' But in Class you’ll hear me say “Let’s Go”. Comes from a fighter from Brooklyn named Shannon Briggs. I'd say it to myself when training and it would push me to keep doing more so I say it to my members to give them an extra push.

My training style is:
authentic

My why:
Since I don’t compete anymore, coaching keeps boxing a part of my life. I hope I can share my knowledge and it gives my members the confidence to be successful in their personal goals.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
I have always been intrigued by the challenges of boxing. Learning the techniques, footwork, different fighting styles, ring IQ…boxing has always pushed me to be the best version of myself in and out the ring. I strive for perfection and during tough times I can dig deep and say “Let’s Go Champ”After leaving my class, I want my members to walk away not only with a hard workout, but I want them walking out having learned a little more about boxing than they did when they walked in that day.

Julia

Julia grew up playing sports and constantly taking fitness classes at gyms. She tried boxing about four years ago and instantly fell in love with the sport. During the COVID 19 pandemic, Julia continued to work on her boxing skills and decided to obtain her personal training certification through ACE to further her knowledge in the fitness industry. In October 2021, Julia was brought on as a boxing coach at Title and the rest is history! Julia also works full-time as a communications specialist.

My personal mantra:
Never give up. Always keep fighting.

My training style is:
authentic

My why:
I want to be able to motivate and inspire others to fight for themselves each and every day.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
Boxing makes me feel empowered and strong, I want to keep chasing that feeling!

Cordula

Cordula has been an athlete (running, swimming, gym rat) her entire life. So it’s not a surprise she was immediately ‘hooked’ when she first tried out TITLE in 2014. It was just a matter of time before Cordula decided to train to become a coach (Spring ’17). Working with all the members has been the most inspiring and gratifying experience for her. She is an ACE-certified personal trainer, and she is currently working on her ACE Health Coach and Spartan SGX certifications.

My personal mantra:
"Constantly challenge yourself."

My training style is:
authentic

My why:
The best part of my day is when I can help members set and achieve their goals, overcome hurdles or fears, and walk out at the end of their session with the biggest smile on their face.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
I get my fighting spirit from all the people around me - everybody has an inspiring story. #cantstopwontstop

Tom

An Everett native born and raised, Tom is our resident drill sergeant! Tom is a retired Everett Police officer who worked in Special Operations. He was injured in a training accident after falling through a roof several stories. Inspired by his physical therapy after the accident, and his passion for fitness, Tom changed careers to fitness and has never looked back. Tom has been training Group fitness for almost ten years, and he has been teaching at TITLE since our grand opening three and a half years ago. He is NASM-certified and only has one speed from bell-to-bell! He accepts nothing but high-intensity from start to finish, and he brings it each and every class!

My personal mantra:
"Can't stop, don't stop, WONT STOP!"

My training style is:
authentic

My why:
It's what I do. It's why I'm here!

What gives me my fighting spirit:
After conquering my own traumatic life events, I wanted to help people achieve their own personal goals.

Coach Cate

Growing up I was either a three season athlete or immersed in competitive dancing/cheering. Fitness, both physically and mentally, has always been an important aspect of my life. In 2015, with a 20 year yoga practice, I received my RYT 200 yoga teacher certification. However, after the birth of my twin boys in 2017, I knew I was going to have to turn my practices and workouts into overdrive to get myself back to where I wanted to be. Also punching something in a controlled environment just sounded amazing. From my first class in May of 2019 I was hooked. Since then I have been a twice a week regular with the Title fam focusing on perfecting my form and footwork. Having a background in body movement/mechanics, as well as group fitness leadership, made the choice to become a Title trainer one of the easiest and best decisions I’ve made in my life.

My personal mantra:
"If it was easy, everyone would do it"

My training style is:
fun

My why:
Creating the, “Eureka!” moments for my clients. When they gain wisdom in my class which can impact how they practice from that point on.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
That little (or really big) voice in your head that says, "You can't"... proving it wrong and screaming back, yes I can!

Lori’s Success Story

Wednesday June 8, 2022

I started my journey at Title Boxing less than 3 months ago.  Having Rheumatoid Arthritis, comes medication that, at times can cause weight gain. I was put on a high dose prednisone to stop the progression of my RA.  My self esteem was low as well as my energy.  Making the decision to walk through the doors at Title changed my life in so many ways. I’m not going to lie , I was terrified. Thankfully, I had nothing to be afraid of. I immediately became part of a family at Title. I was looking to not only lose the weight , but find myself again.  I needed more energy to chase after my children and granddaughter.  I needed strength. I wanted to be able to look in the mirror again without being sad.  I began to work and continue to work with a personal trainer to help me achieve my goals.  I started out with smaller,...

FAQ's

I’ve heard the classes are intense; do I need to be in great shape to do the workouts?

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t worked out in a while or have never boxed before, you can finish the workout feeling great! You’ll see that everyone goes at their own pace, but believe us that once you’re here, you’ll be inspired to give it your very best!

I don’t want to get hit; is this a contact workout?

No—not ever! Each person in class has their own heavy bag to workout on, plus their own space to move around the bag. Trust us, you won’t even realize anyone else is in the class because you’ll be so focused on the workout! And, rest easy, we never allow sparring or fighting at TITLE Boxing Club.

What makes TITLE different than other fitness studios?

Boxing is a great workout, perhaps one of the most challenging of all sports, and we want to bring you the intensity of the training, minus the impact. We’ll teach you how to roll with the punches by pushing you further than you thought possible.

I’m new to boxing; will someone show me the basics?

You bet! All of our classes are taught by instructors who will show you the ropes from the beginning. We’ll help you wrap your hands and walk you through the basic fundamentals. Everyone in class is at a different level, so take a deep breath and go at your own pace!

Can I bring my children with me?

We do not offer childcare services at TITLE Boxing Club. However, children over the age of eight are welcome to work out with you here and join as a member! Ask us about our Family Membership options.

What do I need to bring to class? How early do I need to arrive?

Hand wraps and gloves are essential for your protection and mandatory for class. If you have some bring 'em, If you don't, no worries. We sell all equipment at the club. Make sure to also bring a bottle of water and a towel! Plan on arriving 20-30 minutes early so we can get you settled and wrap your hands.

I’ve never hit anything before. Will I hurt myself?

For a beginner, the most important thing is to learn the proper form. The good news is that we’ll teach you! As you progress, you’ll be able to throw several variations of punches from different positions and develop your own punching technique to fit your style. People are usually surprised at how much they love hitting the heavy bag!
