TITLE Boxing Club has been a huge part of my training since I joined the
club about three years ago. In the summer time, I play amateur
baseball for a team out of Hudson, Wisconsin and have been doing so
for the last 10 years. After doing my first “Free Shot” at TITLE, I
quickly realized the benefits that utilizing boxing as my
cross-training program could do for my baseball skills. A lot of the
same movements and exercises that are used in the Power Hour classes
translate very well to the movements used in baseball. As a result, I
have improved my batting average, power numbers, and arm strength
since joining the gym.
In addition, my overall fitness has greatly improved as a result of my
training at TITLE. Another area where I have seen the huge benefits
is in my running. Every year I run in the Gobble Gait Thanksgiving
Day 8K race in my hometown of Hastings, MN. Since using boxing as a
cross-training program, I have shaved off over 6 mins from my 8K run.
