Meet Your Trainers

Will

Will is originally from East Texas. He got his start in martial arts when he was 7 in Taekwondo and started Kickboxing when he was 20. He then took a break after he got in Silat a few years later. Most of his training has been focused on self defense outside of the ring. Will is also a huge foodie, and has a culinary degree focused in classical European, Asian and Nutritional cuisine. He rarely uses weights and most of his training uses body weight. Will pretty much loves doing anything if it’s outside and pushing himself to the brink to test his limits in all conditions.

My personal mantra:
Wake up and choose to be happy. Let nothing have control of your energy!

My training style is:
Energetic

My why:
I love seeing people happy and a workout like ours is a perfect foundation for confidence. Working here gives me a front row seat.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
I was born early with under developed glenoids in my shoulders and respiratory issues. My parents were told I was never going to be able to participate in physical activities. I was too stubborn to be told what to do so I based my whole life around athletics.

Van

Van began training in martial Arts at a young age with his Father who was a Kempo and taekwondo instructor. During Van’s teen years, he developed an interest in boxing and began training as a hobby. After graduating High School, he took a long break from Martial Arts before finding an MMA gym during his sophomore year of college. At this time, he began competing in grappling and would go on to metal in several state tournaments. After graduating with his MBA, he moved to Portland, OR for a few years before moving to Fort Collins in 2019.

My personal mantra:
There are no losses, only lessons.

My training style is:
Authentic.

My why:
To help others improve their fitness.

What gives me my fighting spirit:
A constant need to improve.

Dannie is originally from New Jersey and moved out to Colorado this last summer because the mountains were calling. She got into MMA when she was 18, fell in love with it, and has been doing it ever since! She started teaching boxing about 4 years ago and now calls it her “fun job.” Being a clinical psychotherapist during the day, she loves to incorporate what she knows about the brain and human behavior into her classes to give you that extra boost of motivation and intense training. Dannie can probably give you the best and hardest workout of your life! For fun she’s a foodie and loves trying new places to eat. In her other free time she likes to stay active with cardio conditioning, hiking, and yoga.

My personal mantra:

Alyssa S

Alyssa moved to Fort Collins to complete her Master’s degree in Sociology. After graduating she took a job working for the City of Fort Collins as a community sustainability and conservation educator.  Still, Alyssa found that she needed a lot of hobbies to fill the time she used to spend reading scholarly articles and grading papers. She picked up Kickboxing four years ago, and has been teaching for 2 of them!  She also picked up aerial silks dancing! Alyssa has convinced her coworkers that she’s a Ninja with all of her tales of kickboxing, aerial arts mavenry, and international travel!

Push past your limits!

Alyssa H

Alyssa moved to Colorado in Feb of 2015 from Long Island, New York where she was born and raised. Outside of training Alyssa also volunteered as an EMT at her local fire department. Currently, she is a certified NASM personal trainer with a specialization in Corrective Exercise. She is passionate about helping others improve on their technique as well as achieving their fitness goals. Come on by and try out one of her classes today!

FAQ's

I’ve heard the classes are intense; do I need to be in great shape to do the workouts?

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t worked out in a while or have never boxed before, you can finish the workout feeling great! You’ll see that everyone goes at their own pace, but believe us that once you’re here, you’ll be inspired to give it your very best!

I don’t want to get hit; is this a contact workout?

No—not ever! Each person in class has their own heavy bag to workout on, plus their own space to move around the bag. Trust us, you won’t even realize anyone else is in the class because you’ll be so focused on the workout! And, rest easy, we never allow sparring or fighting at TITLE Boxing Club.

What makes TITLE different than other fitness studios?

Boxing is a great workout, perhaps one of the most challenging of all sports, and we want to bring you the intensity of the training, minus the impact. We’ll teach you how to roll with the punches by pushing you further than you thought possible.

I’m new to boxing; will someone show me the basics?

You bet! All of our classes are taught by instructors who will show you the ropes from the beginning. We’ll help you wrap your hands and walk you through the basic fundamentals. Everyone in class is at a different level, so take a deep breath and go at your own pace!

Can I bring my children with me?

We do not offer childcare services at TITLE Boxing Club. However, children over the age of eight are welcome to work out with you here and join as a member! Ask us about our Family Membership options.

What do I need to bring to class? How early do I need to arrive?

Hand wraps are essential for your protection and mandatory for class. You can bring your own or buy them here. We’ll have gloves for you to borrow your first time, and you might want to bring a bottle of water and towel! Plan on arriving 20 minutes early so we can get you settled and wrap your hands.

I’ve never hit anything before. Will I hurt myself?

For a beginner, the most important thing is to learn the proper form. The good news is that we’ll teach you! As you progress, you’ll be able to throw several variations of punches from different positions and develop your own punching technique to fit your style. People are usually surprised at how much they love hitting the heavy bag!

Do you have showers?

We do have a private shower for you to clean up after your workout and please bring any essentials you may need!
