I found out in late 2017 that I would need a liver transplant sometime in the coming year. I’m 63 years old and wasn’t in the best shape at the time, but I was worried about the stress on my body from the ordeal and how long the recovery would be. My doctors said getting in shape and building muscle mass would help tremendously.
I had driven by Title Boxing Club a number of times but had never stopped in so one day I decided to check it out. The place was impressive, the modern look, the cleanliness, the Heavy Bags, the Ring, the Weights, and the Fitness Machines. They had everything I was looking for. The people were really friendly and nice. I signed up for a free class and was hooked. They taught me the punches and I jumped into a class.
The excitement and energy was amazing. I felt like Rocky Balboa hitting the bag. It was exhilarating and exhausting at the same time. After the warm up and rounds on the heavy bag, they moved into core strengthening and it was exactly what I needed.
Joining Title Boxing Club was the best thing I did this year. I had my Liver Transplant Oct 4th, 2018 and today is Oct 23rd, 2018. I am 19 days Post Transplant and I am way ahead of schedule on my recovery because of Title Boxing Club of Kettering. -Mike Wolfe
