Here at TITLE, we believe that our members do not only come to our boxing classes because we are a boxing gym located near them, but because they buy into our philosophy and our culture. We use a boxer’s workout to enhance the body and to change our member’s mentality when it comes to fitness. Our goal is to help you challenge yourself by hitting the bag and fighting through your personal challenges. We encourage this by providing our members with a full-body workout that incorporates different techniques, such as HIIT, cardio, boxing, kickboxing, MMA, core, and strength. The trainers even go a step further to offer one on one private training sessions. During these sessions, our experienced trainers will not intimidate, but inspire you to become the champion of your life. They will drive your body to limits that help accelerate results. TITLE Boxing Club Littleton, MA wants to spotlight Betty Chan this month for being an awesome and dedicated member of our family. Betty has shown tremendous strength during her time at TITLE Boxing Club and continues to push herself every day. TITLE Boxing Club Littleton, MA is not only a gym that is located near her, but a gym that has welcomed and supported her since day one. Here is what Betty has to say about her story:
It’s been quite a year! I joined TITLE Boxing Club Littleton in December 2017 as a 2018 resolution to get healthier and stronger. With turning 40 just around the corner, I wanted to make some sustainable lifestyle changes. I practiced martial arts (judo, TKD, even became 1st dan in hapkido), but I quit all of that after herniating my L5/S1 disc in 2007. I spent the next 10 years in a stagnant cycle: physical therapy until I could feel my toes, cautiously trying something new (running, powerlifting, kung fu, yoga, snowboarding, home fitness programs, various gym clubs, etc.), and stopping due to nerve pain, frustration with lack of progress, or sheer boredom.
I am so thankful I found TITLE Boxing Club Littleton! During my first few months there, the way boxing/kickboxing engages the core really strengthened my lower back. The summer 60-day 6-pack challenge provided additional core work, and I found myself strong enough to take on more classes/week. It was also around that time when I started monitoring % body fat (my preferred indicator of health). I saw the initial number (Ack!) and made it my goal to get to a normal %. Erin (owner) and her team were so incredibly supportive. The trainers were extremely motivating and helped with my form during classes. I started personal training in the fall, and it has been a game-changer with further improving my technique and strengthening my core. I exceeded my goal and recently set a new one. I’m now at 21.5% body fat (after dropping 15.8 lbs of fat and gaining 1.4 lbs of muscle), and it feels great! Along the process, I met some extraordinary people, and they have and continue to inspire me in so many ways. Some of them have been members since this place opened, which is a testament to how special this place is for them as they work towards their own goals.
