HOW TO ACHIEVE YOUR FITNESS GOALS

The last thing we want to do is completely deprive our bodies of the joys in life like mimosas and pancakes on a Saturday or your grandma’s famous lasagna.

At one point or another, we’ve all had them. Rather it’s wanting to lose 10 pounds, lower the risk of diabetes, or improve our overall quality of life, health-related goals are very common. Most people have a variety of health aspirations throughout their lives but the number of people that actually achieve those goals is slim. Staying on track is hard and requires a lot of energy, which makes forgetting your goals altogether sound much easier! Follow these 6 tips to support your fitness and health goals, and achieve results you never thought possible!

Plan, plan, PLAN!

It might sound tedious, but it works! Make a plan every week outlining your workouts and meals. The more micro, the better. Having a gameplan ahead of time will make it way easier to stay on track. Do you want to take a boxing class on Tuesday and Thursday?? And have spaghetti squash with turkey meat sauce for dinner on Wednesday and Friday? Great, write it down! Keep your schedule close by all week and check it frequently.

Find a workout you LOVE!

You will have much more success sticking to a workout regimen if you actually enjoy it. So try it all! Dip your toes until the millions of workout possibilities and don’t stop until you find something that is both challenging and enjoyable. If you’re miserable during your workout, you will inevitably stop going. We suggest giving boxing a shot (*wink wink*)!

Find healthy food that is also DELICIOUS!

Same concept here, people! Stop eating a plain chicken breast and steamed broccoli (blah!). Experiment in the kitchen, find healthier ingredient alternatives for the not-so-healthy meals you love, and start enjoying your food. It will be far easier to stick to a nutrition plan if you look forward to eating!

Have yourself a CHEAT day!

Yes, we’re telling you to cheat. The last thing we want to do is completely deprive our bodies of the joys in life like mimosas and pancakes on a Saturday or your grandma’s famous lasagna. Plan out your cheat day at the beginning of the week when you’re creating your weekly gameplan and stick to it!

Surround yourself with SUPPORT!

You don’t have to do this alone! Find people that will hold you accountable and be there for you when you’re struggling. If the people in your inner circle don’t support your goals and believe in you, then it might be time to find a new inner circle. Talking to someone, especially someone that can relate, will make things easier.

Envision VICTORY!

Define your goal and envision yourself accomplishing it. Talk about your goal, write it down, put objects around your house that remind you of it. Keep it in the front of your mind!
