THE MENTAL HEALTH BENEFITS OF BOXING

While most of our members initially join TITLE Boxing Club for the undeniable physical benefits of boxing, the mental health benefits are what keeps them around. Yes, hitting that heavy bag in class is incredibly good for the mind. If you’re interested in learning more about how boxing can positively impact your mental health, then keep reading!

Relieves Stress

It’s been a stressful year for everyone so finding healthy outlets has never been more important than it is now. Boxing is a positive method of relieving stress. When hitting the heavy bag, you’re engaged and not in your head. You’re completely focused on the power behind your punches and the technique used for every combo. It clears your mind and leaves you feeling much calmer than you were before your workout.

Builds Confidence

Boxing will give you the confidence boost you didn’t know you needed. When you’re hitting the heavy bag, you feel invincible! With every punch, empowerment and confidence washes over you. Our members always walk out of our clubs with their heads held high.

Manages Anger

We all get angry sometimes… and that’s okay. It’s normal! Try staying mad after relentlessly swinging at the bag for an hour though! Punching out your feelings and any negative thoughts is an extremely impactful way to manage anger and aggression.

Makes you feel AMAZING

This high-intensity workout will increase the production of endorphins in your brain. Endorphins are tiny neurochemicals that cause a bunch of incredible things to happen in your body like decreasing the feeling of pain and enhancing the immune response.

Improves Concentration

Memorizing and throwing the combos on the bag is an exercise for your brain too! After a few classes, you’ll see an improvement in your ability to focus.
