TITLE Boxing Club: Feast with Your Fam Responsibly

It’s that time of the year again… We’re around the best home-cooked meals that we’ve been waiting all year for, we’re bundled up in layers and giving ourselves a few too many cheat meals in the spirit of the season. Well, we’re here to tell you – and show you – that you CAN partake in your favorite Holiday foods and not regret it or ruin the progress you worked so hard for this year.

Here are our three easy tips for staying on track this Christmas:

1. Moderation, Moderation, Moderation!

It’s easy to snack all day while watching football, feast with your family at dinner and then enjoy two helpings of your favorite apple pie. You don’t need to deprive yourself in order to stay on track – not during Christmas or the rest of the year. Continue making smart choices! Snack on veggies during the day, then focus on protein and be cautious of the carbs on your Christmas dinner plate.

2. Be active!

Make it a part of your family’s traditions to do something active and fun together on Christmas. These are great opportunities to bond as a family and get moving before a big dinner. If the weather is nice where you’re at, get outside and play football! If that’s not your thing, go for a walk and catch up with your relatives. Games are a great option if you want to stay indoors, too! Play charades, pictionary or have a dance party.

3. Stay Hydrated…

…and we don’t mean with your favorite bottle of wine. It’s hardest to remember to drink water when we’re busy. This is the same during a work day or Christmas . With all of the sweets, sodium and carbs you’re going to consume, make sure to stay hydrated or you’ll feel sluggish.
