Love and passion radiates throughout our clubs, which separates us from fellow workout entities.
Something we pride ourselves on at TITLE is the idea that we’re providing our members with much more than just a workout. We’re giving people a positive environment, a place where all ages can be empowered and feel like they’re a part of a community. Love and passion radiates throughout our clubs, which separates us from fellow workout entities. We’ve come to find that by diligently upholding our core values, maintaining a joyous vibe in the clubs, and creating a family-like community, through TITLE, lifelong friendships have been made, marriages have been formed, and family bonds have been strengthened.
Though the list of relationships and families affected by TITLE is seemingly endless, it’s important to point out a father daughter duo that will inspire you to grab your little ones and head to the club. TITLE Boxing Club Grandville owner, Aaron Amato, has been working in the fitness industry for several years but it wasn’t until he came across TITLE, that he discovered a life-long hobby him and his daughter could enjoy together.
Even as a 1st grader if the older kids were messing with her little 1st grade friends, my daughter would go over there and the older kids would run away, they know she boxes and they know how tough she is.
Aaron and his 8-year-old daughter, Mila, have been boxing together for almost 5 years. “She was really good at it right away. She’s become a little protector at recess for everyone too”, he proudly proclaimed, “even as a 1st grader if the older kids were messing with her little 1st grade friends, my daughter would go over there and the older kids would run away, they know she boxes and they know how tough she is”. The pride in Aaron’s voice when talking about Mila is undeniable, as he compares her love for standing up for others to his own, “I’ve always been like that with my friends too, she’s just like me, and I think that’s so cool”. When she isn’t crafting or writing comics, Mila can be found sharing a heavy bag with her dad for a burnout and walking around the club helping kids with combinations, “I like to help other kids around the club when they’re confused”, she told us.
It’s really fun and I know it’s really good for my body, that’s why I try to get my friends to come too.
Just like her Dad, Mila’s confidence is uncanny, “I want to teach classes soon, my Dad said I could. I want to teach a kid’s class because adults usually teach them but adults don’t have a kid’s perspective, so I would be a good teacher because I have a kid’s perspective”. Aaron promotes having youngsters attend classes because it gives them an activity conducive to a healthy lifestyle, provides parents with great bonding opportunities, and teaches kids self-defense. The kiddos love it too, Mila has recently tried to encourage some of her friends at school to take a class with her, “It’s really fun and I know it’s really good for my body, that’s why I try to get my friends to come too”.
TITLE has played a positive role in Mila and Aaron’s relationship, as it’s allowed them to spend time together doing something they both enjoy, “My Dad’s a good coach but he’s also fun to hang out with”. When asked if her Dad was her best friend she giggled and responded, “yeah, he is”. As Aaron said, “boxing with your kid is the best”, taking part in a stress relieving activity in a positive environment only strengthened the bond between Mila and her Dad. Remember, gloves come in all sizes. Grab your youngsters, head to the club, and let them fall in love with a healthy activity they can do for life.
