Michael Yabut: A Trainer with Heart

Our workout is addictive. We hear it over and over and over again. And, it’s because of our trainers who inspire, not intimidate, that help you become the best version of you.

Our Manager of Product & Experience, Michael Yabut, just might be one of the most inspirational, uplifting and skilled trainers we know.

Michael, what fuels you?

TITLE Boxing Club is a place where you can always push yourself out of your comfort zone. Whether I’m training a class or simply taking one, I know I will be pushed to my limit and beyond. The high-energy and encouraging atmosphere is what draws me to TITLE Boxing Club. There’s nothing like hearing the bags pop, the chains rattle, the bag stand shake, and hearing the members encouraging each other to keep going!

“We’ve all heard that a comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing grows there. If you want to become a better person physically and mentally, our trainers, staff and members will get you there in no time.”

You’re the epitome of health. Give us some tips!

EAT REAL FOOD.

  1. Stick to meats, vegetables, some fruits, nuts and seeds.
  2. If it’s processed food, run the other direction like a zombie is chasing you!

EAT HEALTHIER FATS.

  1. Replace all your oils with coconut oil—it’s great for cooking and smoothies.
  2. Replace your peanut butter with almond butter.
  3. Get your avocado on! Healthy fats found in avocados can be high in calories, but they don’t spike your insulin levels, giving you energy and reducing your cravings. Eating a diet high in healthy fats supports boosted energy levels, fewer cravings, optimal brain function, and overall wellness.

How many TITLE workouts do you do a week? Do you incorporate any other training?

I strive to incorporate at least 200 minutes of cardio each week to maintain a healthy active lifestyle. For me, that means taking four classes a week to obtain 240 minutes of cardio! I supplement my boxing/kickboxing workouts with three days of weightlifting and corrective exercises per week. Since I started adding in lifts, including clean and jerk and snatch, I have noticed a substantial power increase with my strikes on the bag.

We’ve heard your classes are tough, but what else keeps members coming back?

Member loyalty is high because our workouts work and they know how much our trainers care about them. We are passionate about the platform we’ve been given and want to educate and impact our members’ lives. We want each member in our classes to feel empowered and to become better every single day. As trainers we leave our setbacks, negativity and obstacles at the door because we believe in making your time with us the best hour of your day and also ours!
