Healthy Happy Megan

I’ve been asked a lot more about my health and fitness journey recently and how I lost 70 lbs. It’s not about the weight I lost, it’s about WHY I turned to a life centered around health, fitness, & self respect. It’s not about the weight I lost, it’s about the life I GAINED.

I used health and fitness as a way to overcome depression and anxiety. It’s now how I choose to respect myself (mind and body) daily. Without self-respect, your setting yourself up for failure. Be proud and love yourself enough now to take care of yourself in the future.

I’m thankful for my friends & family and the support and laughter they’ve given me. I’m also always thankful for my health, that I’m able to workout and take care of myself. I’m thankful that I no longer view food as the enemy but as a way to appreciate and respect myself – that’s why I don’t plan to restrict myself today (or on Saturday for round 3) and I’ll get back on track the next day.

And I’m thankful for Coffee.
