April Member Spotlight: Angie

When someone hits the heavy bag for the first time, you can literally see their heart coming alive again. With every punch, they grow stronger. Physically, they are here. Mentally, they are Muhammad Ali, the greatest of all time. In that moment you know, the battles they fight won’t be nearly as strong. We want you to remember what it feels like to be on fire for your life, to feel everything and to feel unstoppable. This month, we challenge you to go where you feel the most alive. For our member of the month, Angie — TITLE is that place.

Angie was overweight and committed to making a lifestyle change. In March of 2017, she drove past a TITLE Boxing Club and decided to go inside to check it out. Angie was familiar with the sport of boxing and had aways wanted to try it. Growing up, her grandfather was a boxer. He would put his gloves on her and tell her to “punch.” Now, several years later at TITLE Boxing Club, Angie was getting her chance to punch back. From the moment she walked in the door, she was hooked. The TITLE Boxing Club Cottonwood Heights community and owner, Dash Cox, picked her up, got her back on track and continue to keep her feet on the ground.

Since joining TITLE, Angie has lost 160 pounds, gone from a size 32 to a size 14 and credits her incredible success to Dash and the community at TITLE Boxing Club Cottonwood Heights. She can run again. She can jump rope again. She can play tag with her children again. Angie has truly found herself again. She was recently featured on Good Morning America for her weight loss success and told us “TITLE Boxing Club in Cottonwood Heights and Dash Cox helped me get my life back.” Watch the inspiring video of her transformation below.
