Meet Nancy Phung, the winner of Battle of the Bulge for 2018!
We asked Nancy why she decided to participate in Battle of the Bulge and what it took to win. Here’s what she had to say…
Nancy, why did you decide to participate in Battle of the Bulge?
– “Because I was had just turned 30 & I was planning for my wedding”
What kind of changes did you make to your routine?
When I showed up, I made sure to show up 110% mentally, physically, and spiritually. Life got hard, there was a period of time when working out was the last thing I thought I could handle. I rushed out of class in tears—yet there was nothing more invigorating than showing up for myself, sweating it out & having the Title family greet me with a warm smile.
I have been losing & gaining weight for the last 10 years of my life. I tried everything. And spent a lot of money doing it. Thanks to ALL the amazing trainers and their dynamic styles, I never got bored of the workout and my body is constantly being challenged.
When I hurt my knee mid-way through Battle of the Bulge I was pretty torn up about it. But it was the thing that forced me to finally be fully mindful of my diet. Abs are made in the kitchen right?
I didn’t change anything too crazy or dramatic. I incorporated intermittent fasting, ate smaller meals, was mindful of carbs & processed snacks, and did not eat pass 9pm. I also bought one of those 1/2 gallon water bottles off Amazon, and drank water whenever I could.
Special Thank You —
Nate, cannot thank you enough for somehow balancing a caring yet no bullsh*t attitude so well. Our personal training sessions are NEVER the same. Always challenging. And the love & support never falls short.
I have had personal trainers in the past, and LOVE working out. Family & friends wondered why I would sign up for another. But signing up for PT 2x a week at Title was definitely a solid decision, and gave me that extra push to my edge.
My pants are falling off of me, and none of my work clothes fit, but the best part? I felt pretty, confident, and strong as I walked down the aisle on my wedding day 🙂
I am the best version of myself, in every sense of the word — and I’m only getting better.
Thank you TITLE!”
